The Proud to be Certified program (this “Program”) is offered by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA, 98052, USA (“Microsoft” or “We”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in this Program. Participants like you may be selected to be featured in a Proud to be Certified segment, which is part of an ongoing customer video series. These videos will air during Microsoft Ignite in Spring 2021, on Microsoft Learn social channels, and/or other events in 2021. By submitting your video or other content for consideration in this Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. ELIGIBILITY

Participation in this Program is open only to persons who are 18 years of age or older. Individuals who are and current full-time employees of a Microsoft customer located anywhere in the world (“Microsoft Customer”) are invited to participate. Participation is limited to one entry per individual.

2. HOW TO SUBMIT

Submit your customer story (“Story”) and other required information by visiting

By submitting your Story, you agree, represent and warrant that:

  • Your Story does not include any confidential or proprietary information.
  • Your Story does not contains or depict any statements, remarks or claims that do not reflect your honest views and experiences.
  • Your Story does not impersonate, or misrepresent your affiliation with, any person or entity.
  • Your Story does not contain any private or personal information of a third party without such third party’s consent.
  • Your story does not contain any viruses, corrupted data or other harmful, disruptive or destructive files or content.
  • Microsoft may use your Story and associated details for purposes of evaluating whether you will be selected to record a “Proud to be Certified” segment.
  • You have all necessary rights and permissions, including permission from your employer, to participate in this Program and to grant Microsoft rights to use your Story for the purposes stated in these Terms.
  • Microsoft’s use of your video or any content included in your video will not infringe any copyright or other legal rights of any third party.

If selected, you agree to obtain all necessary clearances and releases (including but not limited to your Microsoft Customer employer) for use of any content contained in your Story. For clarity, prior to selection, your submission will be used solely for internal review.

3. SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

Pending confirmation of eligibility, participants will be selected by Microsoft, in our discretion, based solely on the basis of our internal review and subjective quality and content of each submission. Each selected participant will be invited by email to participate in the Proud to be Certified segment. If you are invited, you may accept or decline the invitation. Your acceptance does not obligate Microsoft to feature you in any Proud to be Certified segment to be published.

4. GENERAL CONDITIONS AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

To the extent allowed by law, by agreeing to these Terms and participating in this Program, you agree to release and hold harmless Microsoft and its respective partners, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, and agents from any and all liability or any injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising in connection with the Program or your participation.

All local laws apply. We reserve the right to cancel, change, or suspend this Program for any reason and at any time in our discretion, and our decisions are final and binding.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. We expect all digital submissions to uphold the principles of this mission. We do not tolerate, and your Story may not include, illegal, inappropriate or disrespectful content, messages, images, or interactions by any participant, in any form, including unlawful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, lewd, suggestive, harassing, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, inflammatory or fraudulent. In addition, We will not tolerate, and your Story may not include, harassment or discrimination based on age, ancestry, color, gender identity or expression, national origin, physical or mental disability, religion, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable local laws, regulations, and ordinances.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you will indemnify, defend and hold harmless Microsoft and its subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of our respective officers, directors, agents, partners and employees (individually and collectively, the “Microsoft Parties”) from and against any losses, liabilities, claims, demands, damages, expenses or costs (“Claims”) arising out of or related to (a) your access to or use of the Program; (b) your Story; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation, misappropriation or infringement of any rights of another (including intellectual property rights or privacy rights); or (e) your conduct in connection with this site or the Program. You agree to promptly notify Microsoft Parties of any third-party Claims, cooperate with Microsoft Parties in defending such Claims and pay all fees, costs and expenses associated with defending such Claims (including attorneys’ fees). You also agree that the Microsoft Parties will have control of the defense or settlement, at Microsoft’s sole option, of any third-party Claims. This indemnity is in addition to, and not in lieu of, any other indemnities set forth in any other agreement between you and Microsoft or the other Microsoft Parties.

IN NO EVENT SHALL MICROSOFT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER RESULTING FROM LOSS OF USE, DATA OR PROFITS, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHER TORTIOUS ACTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH PROGRAM.

5. USE OF YOUR SUBMISSION

Personal data you provide while entering this Program will be used by Microsoft and/or its agents acting on Microsoft’s behalf for the administration and operation of this Program and to contact you about possible future customer engagement opportunities, and in all cases in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement, which can be found here.

6. GOVERNING LAW

This Program will be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts of the State of Washington for any disputes arising out of this Program.
