Instructor‑Led: $4,080 | Duration: 5 Days
Advanced Administration for Unified Communications Manager and Features (AAUCMF v15) is a 5-day instructor-led course designed to empower collaboration administrators with the advanced knowledge and hands-on experience needed to support, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco Unified Communications Manager environments. This course is built on CUCM version 15 and is intended for experienced unified communications administrators who already have a working knowledge of CUCM and are ready to go deeper into advanced call routing, mobility, diagnostics, and intercluster communication.
AAUCMF is a follow-on course to ACUCM+AUC and combines elements from official Cisco courses such as CLFNDU, CLCOR, CLACCM, and CLCEI, along with additional real-world material developed exclusively by Sunset Learning Institute. The class utilizes the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) and includes labs with both SCCP and SIP phones, as well as H.323 and SIP gateways.
After a brief review of Unified Communications architecture and foundational configuration, the course covers newly introduced and enhanced features in CUCM 15.(NEW) It then transitions into the implementation of a multi-site dial plan architecture, focusing on signaling, overlapping directory numbers, digit manipulation, and PSTN backup using automated alternate routing. Additional modules cover call admission control, hardware media resource configuration, and intercluster communication using ILS and GDPR. Students will also deploy a basic CUBE and gain familiarity with core CUBE functions and configuration.
Throughout the course, administrators will configure and test features like Extension Mobility, Unified Mobility (including Single Number Reach), and Device Mobility. The class also emphasizes practical troubleshooting using Cisco’s Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT), TranslatorX, and CUCM trace files. Reporting capabilities are addressed through labs that use the CDR Analysis and Reporting (CAR) tool to generate user, system, and call quality reports.
This course was created by Sunset Learning Institute to provide experienced collaboration administrators with the tools, labs, and insight they need to become more effective in their day-to-day roles. It is not a certification or implementation course, but rather a hands-on, skills-focused training experience.
