Job Description

TechSherpas 365 has an opening for a Sales Representative to join our growing team.  This person will work closely with nationwide government agencies to establish IT certification training programs.  These programs are designed to assist individuals develop relevant skillset and credentialing to secure high-demand technical jobs.  In this role, the focus is on selling IT training (Microsoft, Cybersecurity, CompTIA, Cisco and other top technologies) to corporations and government agencies, while expanding existing active accounts.   

To be successful in this role, the candidate should be highly professional, a seasoned sales hunter and will play a significant role in the execution of TechSherpas 365’s strategic direction.

 Essential Functions:

  • Communicate the significant value proposition of TechSherpas 365’s training catalogue Instill confidence among clients with your personal thought leadership and the company’s footprint in the IT training space
  • Consistently qualify, generate, upsell, and execute opportunities that provide profitable revenue to TechSherpas 365, working closely with direct report and forecasting through TechSherpas 365 Dynamics 365 CRM platform
  • Consistently build an effective pipeline by identifying trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline (synergies) in accordance with targets and execute on each phase of the sales process
  • Incorporate knowledge of our services, the customer, and key competitors into the sales process and use that knowledge to uncover customer needs and create value-based solutions
  • Work effectively as a team member to facilitate the sales opportunity by providing leadership and coordinating the internal and external resources needed to effectively manage the sales process (manage outreach periodicity).
  • Support development of proposals and roadshows for new businesses to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy. Use their experience to uncover the key drivers of value for the client and is skilled in articulating the value of our solutions, and is able to differentiate the company’s solutions in the marketplace (meet or exceed quarterly and yearly revenue projections)
  • Accurately forecast the business on a consistent basis. Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals in-line with strategies, and lead and facilitate messaging
  • Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals
  • Leverage the value of TechSherpas 365’s solutions in the negotiation process to drive maximum margin for the company. Establish customer relationships that enable TechSherpas 365 to be viewed as a trusted advisor
  • Increase business in existing accounts as well as develop new customers/prospects Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations

 Education and Experience:    

  • High School Diploma/GED (minimum)
  • 1+ years experience in technical sales, product development, business development
  • 1+ years experience with Microsoft Office suites: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, etc.
  • 1+ years of success selling information technology or training solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Consultative sales solutions with an emphasis on information technology (IT) and certification training
  • Team player and strong presentation skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Strong sales prospecting skills

 Preferred Additional Skills/Education:  

  • Associates or Bachelors degree 
  • Polished executive presence with ability to interact easily with senior-level executives as well as high-level IT staff as a consultative partner
  • Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation
  • Comfortable and fluent with information technology terminology
  • Proven experience with sales and employing out-of-the-box sales techniques
  • Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Working knowledge of all office-based applications and CRM (Ideally Dynamics 365)
