Tampa Mega Career Fair (MAGA – Making America’s Workforce Great Again)

This job fair is sponsored by Joblink and a great way to start the job hunt. It’s absolutely free. All you need to do is register online and print out a ticket to be admitted to the event. It usually takes place in December, in Adamo Drive, Tampa.

Hiring managers from different Fortune 500 companies will be present during the event, so it’s really a great opportunity to get a feel for what they’re looking for and really make an impression. You can even get hired on the spot.

Tampa Career Fair

This will be held at the Holiday Inn Tampa Westshore Airport in North Westshore Blvd., Tampa, — on January 10, 2018, 11 AM to 2 PM. This is sponsored by Best Hire, so make sure to go to their site, upload your resume and register.

The event itself is free. You only have to follow their online registration process to get it. Like the first on the list, you will be meeting with the hiring managers who can give you an insight into your resume and even hire you then and there. The event is on January 11, 2018, from 10 AM to 1 PM. The exact location is yet to be determined, so visit their site to check and register.

Tips for Learning New Technology

People now live in a fast-changing world where using technology is inevitable. Communication, marketing, health monitoring and even getting directions are driven by some form of technology. That’s great news for tech-savvy people who happily welcome the change that a more advanced world brings. However, this is a nightmare for people are not as in tune with using these new gadgets, apps, and programs.

Follow These Three Tips for Learning New Technology

If you’re one of those people, this article will prove useful. Here are a few tips you can try when faced with learning new technology.

Identify a goal that can motivate you.

Nothing can inspire you to do something outside of your comfort zone like a goal you feel passionate about. Define it concretely and visualize it. That way, when the going gets tough, you have something to look forward to. Seeing the bigger picture, what you want to get out of learning a particular technology, helps you move consistently in the direction.

For example, if you want to be settled, with your own home and car, by the time you’re 30, you need a thriving business. That will encourage you to study all the apps and tools, whether that MailChimp or Google AdWords, you need to market your business right. Every time you want to give up, just close your eyes and imagine that goal.

Learning for learning’s sake is great, but that rarely motivates anyone especially when there are more exciting things to do. Be ambitious and use that ambition to fuel your determination to learn the technology in front of you.

Come up with milestones.

Learning a new technology is a long road, filled with different segments to master. Find out what these segments are and focus on just one at a time. Breaking the task down makes it last daunting and easier to commit to.

Once you have the segments down, research. Figure out what makes it difficult for other people, why they give up learning it and what you can do to avoid that. If you’re trying to learn Photoshop, you can try using a couple of tools at a time and master them before moving on to the next set. At least, you won’t feel overwhelmed all of the functions and buttons available to you.

Watch how other people do it.

Not only will this make the process so much easier because you know what you’re doing, it also proves that it can be done. Instead of picking a technical manual to study a particular program or gadget, go online. Watch a few videos or read how-to guides. They usually break down the process of using an app or device, so it’s easier for beginners to get.

When it comes to keeping up with the latest technology, many become overwhelmed. Most people are too busy to spend the time to evaluate new applications and software. The biggest tip to learn new technology is to take baby steps. Some evaluate new technology every six months, others more frequently. They want to know what’s out there that can make their lives better, more efficient, educational or just fun.

Learn New Technology, Because Technology is Awesome!

The perception of technology can vary with different generations but most agree it makes our lives better. To that end, I suggest focusing on what technology will most impact your life in a positive way. For some it maybe business-related such as contact relationship management (CRM) applications that promote shared calendaring, tracking of emails and documents as well as the basic contact information tracking.

For others, technology may be more pragmatic such as the huge surge of downloads during Hurricane Irma of Zello Walkie-Talkie, a two-way radio phone communication. This would allow critical communication between family members and friends if the cell towers went down but Internet connectivity was still available.

Entertainment is a big draw for technology. For example, Spotify allows fairly unlimited music listening entertainment for about $9.00 per month. Moreover, this app allows excellent organization and sharing of your music lists, particularly fun if your friends enjoy music as well. Ever get stuck in traffic? Sure, that’s 100 percent affirmative for anyone living on the planet. Then you might download Waze to give you a heads up on exactly when the traffic clears, if there’s any road hazards, accidents, police with radar guns, you know very helpful information.

If you’re on the brainier side of things, you may like Pocket, previously known as Read It Later, an application and service for managing a reading list of articles from the Internet. If you are a creative type, you may like Snapseed, a photo editing application that enables users to enhance photos and apply digital filters. Type A people may love Wunderlist, a cloud-based task management application allowing users to manage their stuff from any device including their smartwatch. This app might be used in conjunction with Evernote, an app designed for notetaking, organization and archiving which can be used personally or as an office intranet.

In the end, you can choose to embrace technology or ignore it. You’re in charge of your electronic world, so pick and choose what works best for you. You might be surprised how technology, when used on your terms, can positively impact your life. Stay curious!

Not only is it user friendly, it has incredible speed and built-in security that will keep your computer safe. A report by WinBeta shows 50 million devices now run Windows 10! Have you tried Windows 10 yet? Well, after reading this article, you might jump onto the band wagon.

Familiar Screens

Windows 10 uses screens and features very similar to Windows 7. This allows users to navigate easily through different screens.
